Glenelg Country School students and I visit the Navajo Reservation--Summer 2000.
Students from Glenelg Country School (11), The Hill School (2), and Seton Keough (1) all traveled to the four courners area to do service on the Navajo Reservation. We spent a several days at Saint Michael's Indian School where Sister Loyola brought in a Medicine Man, Jonas Yazzi, to speak with us. Sister Loyola also made sure that we met Navajo artists, WWII code talkers, and many students in order for us to gain a well rounded picture of Navajo Culture. We learned a lot about the Navajo and Pueblo people but also a lot about ourselves. Thank you Sister Loyola and everyone at St. Michael's Indian School!
