Day 4--Delphi & Athens, Greece
Welcome to Greece! Your first visit will be to Delphi, the site of the Oracle of Delphi, where pilgrims from throughout the Greek world came seeking answers at the sanctuary of Apollo. Even now an aura of mystery invests the sparse ruins exposed on the rocky slope above the River Pleistos gorge, set against the backdrop of impossing Mount Parnssos. Walk the Sacred Way to the sanctuary, and visit the Archeological Museum to see the famous bronze charioteer. Arrive in ancient Athens, the cradle of Western Civilization.
